We strive to maximise retention, create opportunities for development and promote inclusivity to all. These are aimed at all levels regardless of age, gender or religion within the sport of rugby. We endeavour to promote respect, teamwork, and discipline in line with the World Rugby core values, to nurture players in an enjoyable and positive environment.
Mission Statement
To create and build strong foundations within all forms of rugby, across the Sultanate in order to become a competitive entity both within the GCC and internationally, whilst upholding the values and spirit of rugby.
Our goals are to participate in the Touch Rugby World Cup (2024) and achieve an Olympic qualification opportunity in Rugby Sevens by 2032.
Vision
Oman Rugby Committee is the appointed accredited Governing body as deemed by both Asia Rugby and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Oman, to govern all forms of rugby within the Sultanate. Oman Rugby become an Associate member of Asia Rugby In December 2021 which covers contact variations of rugby. In April 2023 Oman Rugby first became an Observer member with the Federation of International Touch before being upgraded to a full member in February 2024 for its successful and swift development of the game.
The ORC is responsible for the National team as well as all forms of organised rugby (both social and competitive) from grassroots upwards.
Its purpose is to encourage rugby, and its values, to flourish across the Sultanate.
